About Avery

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I believe in the importance of first contact, whether it comes from a good serve or a solid pass so that my setter can efficiently run her offense. I work hard at being consistent and calm in serve receive but I still love a good hustle play! My high school coach has instilled in me that every ball is gettable, so I try to bring that mindset every time I step on the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I try to bring energy and leadership to the back row every time I step on the court and I pride myself on being coachable and having strong court vision. I always try to be a source of encouragement to my teammates, and I love being a cheerleader for them when I'm not on the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I spent 4 years as a member of the National Little Britches Rodeo Association where I competed and won the Junior Girls Pole Bending Champion in 2023. I am also on the A/B Honor roll.
