Player Bio

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Energetic! I'm always jumping and down, cheering for each play and participating in the celebratory shoving after great plays! I'm always clapping and trying to motivate my teammates especially when we need to step our game up. I like the high energy, fast paced games and challenges they bring.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Determined and positive! Taking on a new position has had it's challenges and I am determined to conquer them. I am always striving to be a better player and supportive teammate, cheering from the sidelines and when playing. I train hard outside of practices with private lessons and a private conditioning coach for injury prevention. Diet and mental health are my current focus.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Academic awards in school for the past 4 years, Honor Roll every year in middle school and now, again. in my Freshman year of high school. I was involved with the National Charity League and did some volunteering through this mother-daughter organization.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have worked hard on my mental game, controlling my frustration and staying positive during practices and games. I try to be the positive hype girl on my team. I have begun to take on a leadership role on my team between plays and during time outs trying to motivate my teammates. I have done community service work with the National Charity League and raised money for our local animal shelter.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A few years ago I had trichotillomania, an anxiety disorder that caused my to unknowingly pull out my eyelashes, eyebrows and sections of my hair. I learned various techniques to manage this and realized I needed to prioritize my mental health. I endured bullying in my younger years, as most kids do, and became stronger for it using my voice to stand up for others in these situations.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to study to be a veterinarian. I've lived in a rural mountain town and also a suburb by the beach so I can accommodate to most environments. I love a big college environment with lots of sporting events to attend and I hope to play volleyball as well.
