She tracks the setter, moves laterally with control, and is starting to close blocks with better timing and hand position. I see her take away space and make hitters adjust their swing paths. Offensively, she’s getting up in transition and staying available on quick tempo. She continues to improve her read and reaction speed, which is showing up in longer rallies. There’s clear progression in how she’s impacting the net.

Yager has the potential to be a stand out middle blocker. She has the height, speed, and ability to read, adjust, and adapt to the play. She also has a big reach with excellent control that makes her electric for both attacking and blocking as she seems to be able to get her hands on nearly anything that is sent her way. One of the things that sets Yager apart from other middles in her class is that she has the ability to read the court and deliver hard attacks to both sides of the court. She varies her shot making it hard for defenses to keep up and adapt to her.
