Moore had another outstanding tournament. Moore’s hustle play led to the success the team saw in the tournament. The one play saw Moore make a pancake dig then a kick save after the ball deflected off a teammate. Expect more amazing plays from Moore at Boyd County this fall. Moore said the team has developed a close bond and the hope is to see the team continue to build on that team chemistry in the fall. Moore added she hopes to be even more of a leader her senior season.

Things start with Moore for the Lions. Moore does a great job staying under control and only diving when necessary to keep plays alive. Moore makes everyone around her better. Her leadership goes a long way for the Lions as well. She’s hoping to make more of an impact serving this fall.

Moore is as solid of a defender as anyone in the state. Her dedication and hours of practice on her own show on the court as Moore makes big play after big play to keep balls alive. Moore dug up a team-high 541 balls this past season, helping Lion County make it back to the 16th Region Tournament. Moore helped the Lions make it to the state quarterfinals for a third straight season as a sophomore.

Moore patrols the back row with unmatched determination. Moore goes after balls with every fiber of her body, doing whatever she can to keep plays alive. Moore sacrifices her body a number of times each game to make highlight reel play after play. Moore extends her arms when necessary to pop up balls to teammates to hit over the net. Boyd County head coach Jamie Clark said Moore is the ultimate team player, noting she gives so much effort that she’s spent physically and mentally after each game. Clark also said she needs to stop doubting herself as much as she does, but her teammates look up to her on and off the court. Moore had 541 digs this past season, helping the Lions make it back to the 16th Region championship and earning the Miss Boyd County Volleyball honor. Moore has played on varsity since her freshman year. She played a big role in helping Boyd County to a third straight 16th Region crown and elite eight finish in the state tournament as a sophomore.
