Thornbury has tremendous character both on and off the court. She lays it on the line every time she takes the court for the Lions. Thornbury takes hard swings and makes quality passes for the Lions. Boyd County may not have had the season it wanted, but Thornbury helped the Lions advance one round further in the region tournament than last year recording nine digs and six kills in the quarterfinal win over Greenup County.

Thornbury produces at all six spots on the court. Thornbury consistently moves her feet and makes sound passes in the back row. Offensively, she does a good job landing tips near the lines. She had 274 kills and 242 digs for Lion County last year, helping the Lions go back to the 16th Region Tournament.
