About Bella

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay as evolving. I consider myself to be very coachable and I love learning new things from every coach I work with. I enjoy a good fast paced rally, and I especially enjoy it when our team gets the point.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I think if you ask any of my team mates who have worked with me either in the past or presently.... that I am a very positive person that is always encouraging my teammates on the court and off the court. I sometimes like to be silly and make my teammates laugh if they are feeling negative.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved with the National Charity League, and I get the opportunity to volunteer with local charities such as Robyne's Nest, Wiseplace, Somecare Cares Soup Kitchen and Down syndrome Association OC. Giving back to people in need that are in my community is always fulfilling. Last year I received the Modelette Award; which is an award that my peers vote on.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

In addition to the community service work that I am involved in.... I have had the opportunity to hold some leadership roles for the 2027 class. I have been President, VP Corresponding Secretary, and this year I am VP Cultural & Inclusion.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My biggest challenge has been losing loved ones over a short period of time.... My family lost both my grandparents on my dad's side and my mom's side in a span of 5 years. It was really hard on both of my parents. Challenges in the volleyball..... include being on Varsity as the only Freshman (some of my Varisity teammates were not happy about me being on the team; so they weren't the nicest

What type of college are you looking for?

I would love to play for a D1 School that I not only can play my favorite sport at, but also come out of school with a strong degree.

Bella is a versatile outside who brought a fast arm swing to the hitting lines and a determination to dig on defense. She is focused on mastering the split step to improve her efficiency in serve receive, taking more seam and more court with confidence.

“My energy sets me apart. I always want to see my teammates succeed and will do everything in my power to make sure that my team wins.”

Bella wants coaches to notice the range in her attack. She can swing with pace or choose smart shots to score. Her passing platform is calm and consistent, and she has put in meaningful work on her blocking which she expects will become a real strength this season.

Bella plays with joy and competitiveness that lifts everyone around her. Her game continues to rise and each time I watch her compete I see more strength, more confidence, and more presence on the court.
