How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Bella, a freshman on the varsity volleyball team, excels with her athleticism and strong blocking skills. Her leaping ability and excellent timing make her a formidable presence at the net. As a versatile hitter, she adapts her approach hitting from both the middle and right side. Bella’s skills in serving, passing, and strategic hitting, combined with her blocking prowess, make her a key player.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Bella brings a high volleyball IQ to the court, combining a keen understanding of the game with strong leadership qualities. Her focused and driven mentality pushes her to excel and inspire her teammates. Her determination and strategic insight make her a standout player and a motivating force for the team.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Bella’s leadership extends beyond the volleyball court, as she contributes to her community through dog-sitting and babysitting. Her teamwork skills shine as she supports teammates and younger players, fostering a positive environment. Bella’s commitment to service and ability to balance responsibility with compassion reflects her strong character.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Bella is one of the youngest students in her class, which has presented challenges as she’s grown. Although she’s always played up in volleyball with her peers, she often finds herself as the youngest player on the team—a role that can sometimes be stressful and difficult to manage.

What type of college are you looking for?

Bella is looking for a small to mid-sized school allowing her to balance the academic components of college along with continuing her volleyball career.

Thomas (pictured) may be a bit undersized compared to some middles, but she makes up for it with her drive to excel. She lays it on the line each time she takes the court. Thomas goes hard after balls in both the front and back row. Thomas deposits ones to different zones on the court, mixing in softer hits to catch opponents off-guard. Thomas goes up strong for timely double blocks. She is one of many good pieces the next head coach has to work with in the fall at Highlands.
