Steinhauser has learned different ways to put balls down during high school and club ball. Steinhauser makes quick shoves to the shallow one zone from the middle and takes sharp shots from the strong right side. The lefty can make big hits when the team needs a big kill. Steinhauser angles her body well to send off shots to opposite side lines. She also made nice blocks during 16 Tsunami’s run to the 16 Open Gold championship game.

Steinhauser (pictured) has a lot of experience playing in fast-paced offenses. That’s helped her be a force for the Bluebirds at the opposite hitter spot. The lefty smacks crosses to the four zones. She can also send softer hits to the five zone. Steinhauser makes things happen at the pins and in the middle.

Steinhauser gave the Bluebirds a big presence at the net smacking from balls from various angles and hopes to continue to find ways to improve on that during club season. Steinhauser also learned how to use her size to disrupt balls at the net. Steinhauser finished the season with 157 kills and 34 assisted blocks, helping Highlands go 29-10, win an eighth straight 36th District championship and make it to the 9th Region semifinals for the first time since 2019.

Steinhauser had some nice kills in the Highlands loss at Scott on Thursday. She used some unique angles to land balls and hit them off blockers, especially in the second game. Steinhauser will be tough once she develops some consistency. She had six kills in that loss.
