Player Bio

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a very technical player and like to see the court at every angle. I have a keen sense of court awareness and can read opposing teams well. I do this but remain upbeat and lighthearted with my teammates and coaches. I listen well and apply what I learn quickly.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a scholar and like to study players and mentality on the court. I read offenses and defenses well. I am mentally tough and confident. I like to play in the moment and will not dwell on mistakes. I use mistakes to make me stronger. I have fun while I am on the court or on the sideline but remain focused.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in FFA, DECA, and National Honors Society. I am a former DECA officer and also coach through our park and rec department. I am a youth leader in our church as well and participate in mission trips. I also volunteer in elementary school classrooms.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

First and foremost, being a good human with strong values and ethics is at the forefront of my personal being. I lead my volunteering and club activities. I enjoy working with my peers as teammates in community service. I give back to my community by helping volunteer coach & assisting in elementary classrooms.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

In middle school, I broke my arm and had to face adversity in working my way back during the fall volleyball season. I was resilient and kept a positive attitude the entire time. It allowed me to develop my coaching skills and be a better teammate from the bench.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that will provide a very well-rounded education and allow me to play two very important sports, volleyball, and track and field. I want a traditional college feel for my larger school but within a reasonable distance for my family to visit.
