Bryna Brown is one of the more versatile front-row players in Arkansas’ 2027 class. Able to play both middle blocker and pin, Brown believes her flexibility and willingness to compete wherever she’s needed separates her from others in her class. “I believe my versatility separates me from other players in the 2027 class,” Brown said. “As a 5’10” MB/Pin, I can contribute in multiple positions and impact the game in different ways.” Brenya has come back strong after a shoulder injury ended last years club season.
Brown also credits her coachability, competitiveness, and work ethic as key parts of her game. “I take pride in being coachable, competitive, and always looking for ways to improve my game. I bring energy and a strong work ethic every day, whether it’s practice, training, or competition.”
As she continues through the recruiting process, Brown is focused on finding a program where she can develop both on and off the court. “I am looking for a college program with a strong team culture where players are pushed to be their best on and off the court,” she said. “The most important factors in my recruiting process are the relationship with the coaching staff, opportunities for development, academics, and finding a place where I can contribute and grow as both a student and athlete.”
Brown wants college coaches to see a player who values winning over individual recognition. “I would want them to know that I am a team-first player who is willing to do whatever is needed to help my team succeed,” she said. “I bring energy, competitiveness, and versatility to the court, and I am always encouraging my teammates. I take coaching well, work hard, and strive to be someone my teammates and coaches can rely on every day.”
Her recruiting process continues to gain momentum. “My recruiting process has been steadily progressing. I’ve been actively reaching out to college coaches, attending camps and showcases, and competing at a high level with my club and high school teams. I’ve been fortunate to receive interest from several programs and an offer from a college program, but I remain uncommitted and am continuing to build relationships with coaches while looking for the best fit academically, athletically, and personally.”
Scout’s Take: Brown is the type of player every coach value because of her versatility. She has the ability to contribute as both a middle blocker and a pin while bringing a competitive, team-first mentality to every match. Her willingness to embrace coaching, combined with her athleticism and positional flexibility, gives her the potential to affect a collegiate program in multiple ways. With interest already building, Brown is a 2027 prospect who should be committing before the high school season in my opinion. She’s gaining traction every week!
