About Brianna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I think of my gameplay as very analytical in general. I seek out weaknesses in the defense and guide my hitters towards weak spots in the defense. I love being the setter as I have the opportunity to lead the team in gameplay. I also enjoy my role as a right side as I can work on being aggressive in my play, and it provides me the perspective of what my hitters are looking for as a setter.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a very goal oriented person when it comes to my grades and sport. I am very focused on my goals, yet also understanding towards the needs and desires of others. I knew from when I was 6 years of age and met US bronze medalist Kelly Murphy at a school assembly (she was our PE teacher's daughter), that I would play competitive college volleyball. It has been my goal ever since.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

High Honor Roll - Freshman Year High School Member of National Junior Honor Society Awarded Presidential Award for Academic Excellence High honor roll for all 6 semesters at Drauden Point Middle School

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

From an early age, I feel I have had strong leadership and teamwork skills, and I have my family to thank. All my siblings and cousins are at least 5 years younger than I am, and I have had a lot of experience caring for and helping out at family gatherings. I love my cousins, and I feel that these experiences has helped me be the leader that I am today.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that provides excellence in education for my career choice in the medical field and has an strong and competitive volleyball program.

Brianna came alive during gameplay. She didn’t initially catch my eye during positional work, but as soon as 6v6 play started, she was a force to be reckoned with. She ran down balls well and made smart choices. Brianna is an athlete with solid fundamentals and a lot of potential.
