Gunderson is already turning heads with her size and versatility at just 2028. At 6’0”, she’s a natural presence at the net, capable of shutting down hitters with her blocking range and quick reads. Offensively, she’s dangerous in multiple roles—whether running quicks out of the middle or stepping to the pin to attack with power and range. Her footwork and transition speed allow her to stay available, giving setters a consistent option in any rotation. Brielle Gunderson is making her presence known at USAV Nationals in Dallas with her strong net play and court awareness. She’s quick off the ground, closing blocks with excellent timing and penetrating across the net to shut down attackers. Offensively, Brielle runs clean, fast-tempo routes, connecting on quicks and slides with efficiency. She reads the setter well, stays active in transition, and brings consistent energy in every rotation—a true impact middle coaches should keep on their radar.

Briell Gunderson is a high-impact athlete who brings versatility, length, and firepower to the front row. Whether she’s running a quick tempo out of the middle or flying in from the pin, Briell delivers a fast, controlled approach and consistently terminates with a heavy arm swing.

Her blocking game is just as fierce—she reads hitters well, closes with confidence, and makes smart adjustments at the net. Briell’s timing and lateral quickness allow her to be a constant presence in shutting down opposing attackers. Gunderson is fun to watch. She is middle that encompasses everything that college coaches want. She has height, speed, quick arm swing, anticipates well, has good reactions, and knows how to read opposing teams setters. Gunderson is one of those young middles that has a big volleyball career ahead of her and we plan to be there for it every step of the way.

Gunderson was getting a ton of block touches in some really high level high school matches this fall. Between the Eagle Invite and the Milan Mader Invite she was adjusting to the speed of the game extremely well. I think Gunderson will be one to watch as she continues to develop her game.
