Hoegh is a prospect not receiving the attention deserved based on her current abilities and potential for much more. She earned third-team all-state recognition in Class 4A as a sophomore last season after producing 186 kills (.426) and 59.0 blocks. Hoegh took another step forward this club campaign playing up with Salty 17s. The tall, long-limbed athlete is an imposing presence in the middle of the net as a big leaper with a heavy swing that can put the ball down into holes in the defense. She’s also intimidating with a block that’s effective and technically sound. Hoegh could help a lot of colleges willing to invest in helping her reach a high ceiling.

Hoegh saw action in one match as a freshman last season. She’s making for lost time as a 10th-grader. Hoegh’s .371 hitting percentage puts her among the state’s leaders in the 2028 Class. Her 70 kills ranked second on MOC-Floyd Valley through the team’s first 16 matches, and she led the way with 35.0 blocks. Hoegh established herself as a factor during the last club campaign. Ability to be a two-way presence at the net has carried over into her sophomore season. With skills, height and a high-ceiling, Hoegh can be labeled a prospect on the rise.

Hoegh got her feet wet on the varsity last season, spending the rest of the time honing her skills on the JV. She’s showing off that progress this club season for Salty and developing even more to put herself into position for more production in 2025. With height and length already, Hoegh has the natural gifts for success in the middle of the net. She complements them with agility and a good feel for the position. Hoegh sees the open seams heading into the swing, which is powerful enough to end points. She’s a good defender at the net, altering attacks she doesn’t get her hands on.
