What an athlete.  Deviryn McCarty Deviryn McCarty 5'8" | DS/L/OH MOC-Floyd Valley | 2028 State IA has been the libero for Kairos out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota where they were consistently one of the top 15s teams in the country during the 2025 club season. Watching her live, she just moves so well on the court, she makes the libero position look effortless.  Kairos has produced a lot of high level liberos and she falls in line with all of the greats, with high level training and fundamentals.  She attended camps at UNI, Louisville, Kansas, and Mizzou while also getting an invite to NTDP.  For the high school season, she is a stellar outside hitter for MOC-Floyd Valley.  She suffered an injury during the high school season, but she’ll be back.  Her ability to control the first touch in multiple scenarios changes the game for her side of the net. 

Deviryn McCaryt was in overdrive at USAV Nationals in Dallas, handling some of the top hitters in the country with composure and control. She moved fluidly in coverage, reading attacks early and staying balanced through every dig. Whether it was a heavy swing or a well-placed tip, Deviryn was there—consistently picking balls up and keeping plays alive. Her calm presence under pressure and relentless defensive effort make her a standout in the backcourt.

Deviryn is a freshman starting for her High School team MOC-FV. She plays outside hitter for her high school and is a libero for her club team Kairos Elite. She is a versatile athlete who delivers in all aspects of the game.
This week the freshman led her team to two weekday wins. On Tuesday the Dutch swept Okoboji. She led her team with 12 kills (hitting .455%) 10 digs and 1 ace. She added 3 assists and 1 solo block.
On Thursday night the Dutch won in a 5-set thriller to the Sioux Center Warriors. Devi led her team with 15 kills (.297%) 18 digs, and 5 aces. She also contributed 2 blocks and 2 assists.

The Northwest Iowa volleyball scene is growing at an incredible pace. McCarty offered another reminder of this trend and was an unflappable defender in La Vista. The Kairos Elite standout brought infectious energy to the court and backed that up with outstanding first contacts from the back row. We had a handful of Hawkeye State participants in Sunday’s events, and McCarty staked her claim as one of the best.
