runs a system. The distinction showed up clearly throughout the Prep Dig Up Next SoCal Showcase in the way she processed the game ahead of each contact rather than just reacting to the pass she received. Her fast and efficient footwork kept her ahead of the play consistently and she released the ball from a stopped, balanced position rather than setting on the run, which gave her sets an accuracy and repeatability that her hitters responded to immediately. When the location needed to change she changed it and when a hitter needed the ball in a specific spot she found it. You could clearly see that after a mistake, she fixed it and never made the same one twice in a row. The leadership she provided throughout the day was both vocal and visible in how the players around her competed. She made a gym full of strangers feel like a team. I saw it from her and I loved every aspect of that kind of leadership. She is definitely one to watch moving forward.

Brooke Keefe’s strongest tool at camp was her jump set, and she backs it up with a technical habit that’s easy to say and hard to do consistently: staying behind the ball and putting real force into every set, in drills and in live play. That consistency, paired with vocal communication and leadership, is what let her direct a lineup of new teammates toward real success.
She found her proudest moment in an unlikely place, an icebreaker drill called Tennis, where she used her court awareness to place the ball where blockers wouldn’t expect it and helped brand new teammates find their rhythm around her. That kind of quick-adapting IQ, reading a game inside a game, is a preview of the setter she’s becoming. What she carried away from camp was simple and demanding at once: bring full effort and a confident mindset every time, no exceptions. As she heads into her last season before high school, she’s focused on placement and timing as both a hitter and a setter, along with sharpening the mental and physical sides of her game together.

Brooke’s voice reflects a player focused on growth and intention in her development.
I focus on my footwork, where my hands are finishing, and jumping up to the ball to put force into it.
That attention to detail is helping her build a strong technical foundation early.
Her growth this season has been consistent across multiple areas.
My setting and jump setting have really improved… I’m reading plays, playing smarter, and helping my teammates be successful.
Off the court, her personality comes through clearly.
I’m a really positive and happy person… and I always try to help and encourage my teammates.
Her championship path is just beginning, with Far Westerns, Salt Lake City Showdown, SCSN Championships, and Triple Crown ahead as she works toward earning a bid.
