I first saw Brooklyn Chesna Brooklyn Chesna 5'9" | OH/RS Lockport | 2029 IL this season at the Juniors Winter Classic back in January. Right away her athleticism jumps out along with her ability to make positive things happen for her team. Since then she has really taken off and been part of a very successful Attack 16 Select squad who has made some noise on the qualifier circuit this season. She has been playing up a year being a 2029 with a 16s team, finding ways to score points against defenses who are geared to stop the outside. She would be one to get to camp this summer and see her dynamic ability all across the court.

What a flyer! Brooklyn Chesna Brooklyn Chesna 5'9" | OH/RS Lockport | 2029 IL was such a fun player to see for Attack 16 Select who finished second overall in 16 Open. Chesna is actually playing up an age group as she is a 2029 six rotation hitter. I was impressed with her overall skill set because she contributes to every part of the game. She passes extremely well, she can be in serve receive formations where she can handle a high volume. Offensively she just flies as an outside hitter with an explosive pop to her swing.

Brooklyn does it all. She is a volleyball player in every sense of the word. She can pass, takes great swings on the ball and can hit all the shots at that OH position. She is athletic with a nice vertical and just makes good volleyball plays. She’s got grit in her game as well and is there to compete. She just stands out when on the court. Whether she is smacking the ball for a kill, or covering teammates with a dig she’s out there making big plays.

Brooklyn is a pin hitter with the defensive instincts and mindset of a seasoned libero. Her passing and backcourt play are elite, and at the net, she reads the block exceptionally well. Paired with a diverse shot selection, she consistently finds ways to terminate against any defense.

It was fun watching Brooklyn play. She seems to be very versatile, can probably stick her anywhere on the court and she will produce. Saw her at OH and she has a nice vertical, good athlete, and looks taller than listed. Can hit from either side of the court, just a great feel for the game.
