About Camille

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am an energetic libero who brings enthusiasm and intensity to every practice and match. I focus on consistency, strong defensive fundamentals, and relentless hustle, working to keep plays alive and maintain a high level of effort from the first point to the last. I take pride in being dependable in serve receive and defense and in helping keep team energy high on the court and bench.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I approach training with a growth mindset and aim to improve, even in small ways, every day. During competition, I focus on staying mentally disciplined and resilient, quickly learning from mistakes and moving forward so that one error never affects the next play. I am competitive, coachable, and committed to continuous improvement.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of The Hidden Opponent club at Edison High School, where I learn strategies for building a strong mental game and handling challenging situations with teammates and coaches. Academically, I have earned Distinguished Honor Roll throughout middle school and high school, reflecting my commitment to balancing athletics with strong academic performance.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through volleyball and academics, I have developed strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills. As a libero, I have learned the importance of leadership on the court by communicating clearly, encouraging teammates, and helping maintain focus and organization during matches. I have also built discipline, resilience, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced personal challenges related to managing depression and anxiety, and learning to continue enjoying and competing in volleyball while working through these difficulties has required perseverance and mental strength. This experience has pushed me to develop healthier coping strategies, stay committed to self improvement, and build resilience.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am seeking a four year college where I can compete in volleyball while pursuing a degree in psychology, with the long term goal of becoming a child and adolescent psychologist. I am looking for a program that values academic achievement, athlete development, and a positive, hardworking team culture.
