I had the chance to see Porisch at our showcase in early August and again last Thursday during her team’s home opener, and she continues to impress. Porisch made her way into our rankings because of her ability to get her feet to the ball, her quick arm swing, and her ability to adjust to the sets sent her way. She is versatile as an attacker, showing the ability to go both line and cross court to find open space. Only a sophomore, Porisch has plenty of room to continue developing, and we are excited to see how her game grows over the next couple of years.

Porisch was another pin hitter who caught my eye with her big swing. Combine that with the fact that she can swing from either pin and you have a player that any coach would love to have on their team (I know I would). I like the fact also that she is equally terminal in both down the line and cross shots. She was making it tough for defenders at the showcase as they could never settle in and pinpoint exactly where she was going to go. Porisch is another player I will be running into during the high school season and after this performance she is definitely one I’m looking forward to watching again.
