2029s Climbing into the Minnesota Rankings

We have watched these young players throughout the club season, at our August showcase, and now in the opening weeks of the high school season and found several have continued to stand out and thus, earned their way into our rankings. From setters who know how to run an offense to dynamic attackers and defenders who refuse to let the ball hit the floor, this latest group brings athleticism, versatility, and plenty of grit. They are still early in their high school careers, but their play has already caught our attention. She has a strong ability to read the court and anticipate where the ball is going, pairing that awareness with quick reflexes to make plays happen defensively. Greene continued to sharpen her game over the winter at SMV, adding to her skill set and gaining valuable experience. With another year of development behind her, she is poised for a big season this fall. She does a great job finding her middles, even when pushed off the net and will track down out of system balls to give her attackers a hittable set. Fischer hustles after everything and does a nice job spreading out the offense, moving the ball around and keeping opposing defenses guessing. She is still young with plenty of development ahead of her, but the tools and court awareness are already there. Porisch made her way into our rankings because of her ability to get her feet to the ball, her quick arm swing, and her ability to adjust to the sets sent her way. She is versatile as an attacker, showing the ability to go both line and cross court to find open space. Whether she is attacking from the right, left, or out of the middle, she is comfortable in all three spots and has the ability to terminate from each. She has a strong, consistent approach, transitions quickly off the net, and does a good job getting herself available for the next swing. That versatility makes her a valuable weapon and a player who can be used in a variety of ways. She moves well along the net, can attack from multiple locations, and gives her team options offensively. Hanson is also a solid defender, using her athleticism to close blocks or slow down attackers when effective block touches. I had the chance to watch her a few times during the club season, and each time she showed why she is a player to keep an eye on. She is smart with the ball, understands where to deliver it, and does a nice job putting her hitters in positions to be successful. But her impact goes beyond running the offense. Satterstrom is also highly effective defensively, reading the play well, reacting quickly, and working hard to keep balls alive. Her energy, court awareness, defensive ability, and knack for making things happen are exactly why she earned her way into our rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
