Carinne demonstrates good control of the offense and continues to play with confidence at setter. She delivers a hittable ball, keeps her attackers involved and shows awareness of where Savannah Christian has an advantage. Her connection with Shippy was productive again in the quarterfinal, and Cason’s ability to serve aggressively gives her another way to influence a match.

Her value goes beyond the second contact. Cason shows the calm presence you want from a setter when rallies become less predictable. She stays engaged defensively, communicates well within the offense and does not appear rushed when the pass pulls her away from the ideal setting window. Her continued growth in disguise and tempo management can make an already steady setter increasingly difficult for opposing blocks to read. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga
