Reynolds is a sophomore setter on a North Cobb Christian roster that carried its season into the state playoffs. What makes her interesting from a recruiting standpoint is developmental runway. At this stage, I care less about whether every set is perfectly disguised and more about the habits being established underneath the position.

Does she get her feet to the ball instead of relying on her hands to rescue poor positioning? Does she deliver the same release from multiple locations? Can she keep her tempo consistent when the match speeds up? Those are the technical foundations that eventually allow a setter to become deceptive.

There is also a leadership component that naturally comes with earning varsity setting responsibility this early. A sophomore doesn’t have to be the loudest player on the court, but she does have to communicate confidently enough that older hitters trust where the next ball is going. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga
