She eats up cross shots and other hits, then quickly jumps into net coverage. Nygaard also makes quality out of system sets. Nygaard also has good jump serves. She does not send balls too high, allowing her to make good contact with them and serves to different parts of the court.

Nygaard simply owns the back row with her athleticism. The Bruisers can more than count on her to make great passes time and time again. Nygaard uses great range to make unbelievable saves. Her ball control is off the charts. Nygaard consistently talks to her teammates to make sure they’re in good position on the court. Nygaard had 383 digs in the fall to help Girls Preparatory School go 18-8.

Nygaard gives great effort each time she takes the court and Friday proved to be no different. She uses a supberb platform to make smooth passes and has great range. She made plays many defensive specialists can’t. Nygaard is also a strong communicator on the court. Nygaard said she focuses on staying on her toes and not her heels so she can get to balls as quick as possible.
