About Sophia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is Consistent, Up-Tempo and Aggressive. My goal is to make my hitters look good and to give my team the best opportunity to keep a ball in play and attack! I have solid defensive/serving skills and love to sneak in setter dumps, as well! *Prep Volleyball Top 2027 Watchlist, AVCA Phenom, AVCA Top 2027 Watchlist, Max Preps #1 Freshman in TN for Assists, SRVA High Performance Camp.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Consistent, Even, and Aggressive! Everyone tells me I am a Leader on the Court, always focused and in control of the game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

FCA and Christian Forum...I also am involved with a lot of Community Service through my Church and School. I have also qualified for Sand Nationals, as well!

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been the starting Setter on all of my Volleyball Teams, which has helped me be a Leader. I encourage my teammates and they trust that I have control of the game. I am also involved in many community service endeavors such as: Christmas Shoeboxes, Choices, Chambliss House.

Jenkins has great hands which leads to great touches on her sets and first contacts. Jenkins runs a smooth offense involving a number of hitters. Jenkins executes a number of sets. She is especially tough on ones and other short sets hoping to get balls up to where teammates can smack balls before blockers get up on them. Jenkins said she tries to bring a lot of energy to the court. Jenkins added she likes to stay positive to keep the team up no matter the situation.
