About Cathryn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a quick and strategic player. I will never let the ball drop and will always get a touch on something no matter how impossible it seems!

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a loud personality and will scream and cheer till i lose my voice. I’m a libero so i take dominance in my back row and try my best to be a leader.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Volleyball has developed me into a better person on and off the court. I strive for excellence in everything i do because of it. It’s allowed me to meet some great girls along the way which built my team working skills and communication skills.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

2023-2024 season I broke my left arm and had to get surgery also suffered from a major concussion due to the accident that occurred. This has made me who I am today and showed me that i’m capable of anything if I put my mind to it.

Crill is a libero for the Wylie High School team and has recently switched clubs, joining Frisco Flyers. She missed part of the last club season due to an injury, but returned in great form, showing some interesting skills on the backcourt. Crill has excellent ball control and is a difference-maker on the backcourt with her ability to dig balls. The libero also contributes a lot in serve-receive, covering a lot of ground and using her strong technical skills to deliver the ball to her setter – Crill is very good at establishing a firm position before making contact with the ball, which helps her avoid errors.
