Caylee Young Caylee Young 6'0" | OH TX , ds/Lib for Houston Skyline , takes her defense to the next level. She stays on her toes and is ready to move through any ball. Her hitter coverage means business, assuring her hitters to swing with confidence. Caylee, is quick and dedicated to serving her team on every play, just the kind of defender needed at the national level.

The junior outside hitter had an excellent all-around performance, making a difference on both sides of the ball for Clear Springs. Young was easily the team’s strongest offensive option during the match and showed great variation, using hard-driven swings and well-placed tips to produce a team-high 20 kills. The junior’s point-scoring efforts also included two aces and two blocks, adding up to 24 points. Young was also very active and productive on the back row, registering an impressive 37 passes (with no errors) and 17 digs.

The junior outside hitter was Clear Springs’ most important player on the court, contributing at a large rate on both sides of the ball. Young’s offensive game was always on point as she often used her high contact point and firepower to put the ball down, but also displayed great vision to score off tips and to find some difficult angles at the pin. The outside hitter also stepped up on serve-receive, taking responsibility for a large area of the court and remaining consistent with her production. Young came up with good digs too, displaying great positioning on the backcourt and using her length to get to the ball.

Please officially welcome Miss Young to the State Rankings.  She is currently ranked as the 61^st best overall prospect in the 2027 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings.  She plays for Clear Springs High School and also for the Houston Skyline volleyball club.  The potential that miss Young has in her game is out of this world.  She already looks like a seasoned veteran despite her young age.  There is not a tempo that she cannot run on the pins and really puts on a show when she has to adjust her footwork to a set that is not in the perfect location.  Not many are able to shorten or lengthen their stride and speed up or slow down with ease like she does.  Timing is everything and Caylee is a master at timing the ball so perfectly in order to still have immense power in her swing no matter the tempo or location.  What really helps is the length in her extremities and how quickly she moves them toward the ball.  Given her height, athleticism, speed, and power, college coaches should really be giving her looks now as a sophomore.  We were so impressed with what she has been doing at the varsity level this season, that we had to have her listed on our publication.  We are going to keep our eye on her very closely and think you should as well.  Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot in our State Rankings.
