Emma Adams | Prep Dig Scout
Having had the privilege of being a part of Wagstaff’s volleyball career since 6th grade, to see her blossom into one of the state’s most dominant right-side attackers has been fun to witness. Wagstaff has undoubtedly not hit her full potential yet; the progress she’s made in recent months is a clear indication of the further growth still to come. She puts up a huge block, reading the opponent and tracking well to shut them down. As an attacker, she has a heavy left arm and has developed a lot of shots and angles. She is also the ultimate teammate and a fiercely positive force on the court. She will be a valuable addition to any college program, I am eager to see where she lands.

The left-handed pin hits around the block well, often tagging the baseline with her deep attacks. She moves her hits around from line to cross court with ease. Why the rise? Moving up to the #2 right side in the state, Wagstaff is an athlete who continues to improve and impress. Standing at 6’1”, she has a tall and strong frame. With a heavy left arm, she is a natural fit on the right side. But the offensive load she shouldered for Grant High School this past season proved she could swing from any position across the net. She was given a PIL First Team All-League nod for her play for the Generals. She creates very nice attacking angles for herself to rack up kills all over the court. Her blocking is formidable, fronting the opposing hitter and pressing back into the court. Wagstaff has proved to be a threat both offensively and defensively. Skill aside, she brings tons of positive, infectious energy to the court, hyping her teammates up and having a blast competing.
