About Charlette
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am a steady, consistent, and high-effort player who brings confidence through my actions, not my volume. I stay composed in every situation and focus on executing my role with discipline. I’m strong on the court, reliable in pressure moments, and always working to make the players around me better.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m naturally reserved but very confident in my work ethic and abilities. I’m a strong supporter of my teammates—always cheering, encouraging, and helping them reset when needed. My mentality stays the same from the first point to the last: calm, focused, competitive, and team-first. I value fairness, integrity, and doing the right thing; I always strive to be coachable, adaptable, and respectful.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Outside of volleyball, I work hard academically and stay involved in school activities. I consistently put effort into the classroom, and my dedication has been recognized through my academic performance; receiving an academic award in the 2024-2025 school year.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I’ve developed strong leadership skills, staying positive, composed, and encouraging no matter the situation. I’m coachable and focused on learning: listening, making adjustments, and applying corrections immediately. I value teamwork - supporting teammates, communicating clearly, and working hard to build trust. I’ve also developed discipline training, lifting, taking skill lessons daily.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I started volleyball later than many girls my age, which meant I initially felt behind in skill and experience. I wasn’t always accepted right away, and I had to earn my place through hard work, consistency, and resilience. There were times when I faced adversity within my own team, but I never let it dull my spirit or change who I was. Instead, I focused on improving every day.
What type of college are you looking for?
D1: I aspire to play for a program led by a coach who is strong, tough, and knowledgeable, but also genuine—someone who cares about me and my teammates as people, not just players. I want to compete against the strongest opponents, grow through real challenges, and continue developing both as a volleyball player and as a person.
