Garcia sets and hits for Garland High School and the Bullitt Volleyball Academy out of the Dallas area. A lefty, she has a very nice touch on the ball and can send it to pin from anywhere on the court while remaining precise and reliable. Garcia also plays some excellent defense and is capable of generating transition plays for her team with her ball control on the backcourt. She seems to have added a couple of inches since I last set her and looks much stronger on offense, making a powerful offensive approach and finding nice angles with her skilled left hand.

It wasn’t hard to see the many positives in Garcia’s game when she was on the court. A taller setter, she’s no liability at the net with her blocking and also plays some solid defense. The setter also displayed an interesting playmaking ability, showing strength to push the ball to the pin from anywhere on the court and remain consistent. Garcia made good decisions with her ball distribution and moved well on the court too.
