About Claire

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a high-energy libero/DS who plays with enthusiasm, focus, and a competitive edge. As a lifelong multi-sport athlete—volleyball, flag football, swimming, and cheer—I’ve developed speed, balance, body control, and the ability to read the court and react quickly. I pride myself on aggressive pursuit, consistent serve-receive, strong communication, and staying composed in tough moments.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am highly coachable and love to compete and learn. I take feedback seriously and am always looking to improve myself and my team. I don't get rattled easily and strive to be a strong, steady presence on the court that my teammates can rely on. I love cheering on my teammates and bringing positive energy to the court. My coach says one of my biggest strengths is my resilience.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

As a lifelong multi-sport athlete, I’ve earned MVP honors in flag football and competitive cheer, and was the top point earner on my swim team. Volleyball is my passion because it combines my love of competition, communication, and teamwork. Off the court, I am involved in Teen Court at the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have two older brothers and have played sports with them my entire life. I love encouraging others to do their best and always work to maintain a positive environment. Keeping the energy high is one of my key attributes. I enjoy sharing my love of sports with younger students and volunteer as a volleyball camp counselor at Academy of the Holy Names and Saint Mary's Episcopal Day School.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college where I can complete at the highest level and grow with a strong and team-focused program. Academics are important to me and I hope to end up at a school that offers both athletic challenge and strong academics. Having a positive team culture is also very important to me.
