As described by multiple coaches, Claire looks to be the future of setting at Benton Central, a solid volleyball program in northwestern Indiana. With accurate location, quick feet and a smooth athleticism to her, Miss Whaley can do all of the things a 5-1 offense requires of their one setter. She also defends her position well, making her even that much more marketable for the next level. I have to keep reminding myself when I watch her play that she’s only a sophomore, and plays up on the 17-1 at NCISVBC. The skill set is there, the athleticism is on point, and her high volleyball IQ is regularly on display. Now, she needs a little more notice from colleges to see what she can do for them.
