Dakota’s fearless play in the back row makes her one of the most exciting young liberos to watch. Dakota is everywhere. She moves like a machine, diving for everything and communicating nonstop. Her reads are sharp, her defense is clutch, and her leadership shines in every rally. With high volleyball IQ and unmatched hustle, she anchors the backcourt like a seasoned pro. Dakota is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Georgia State Rankings, but that is only because they have not been released for her state yet.  She plays for Norcross High School and also club for the A5 volleyball program.  There was a lot to like from Dakota as she really showed some awesome abilities on the court during the showcase.  One thing I truly love about watching her is how balanced her footwork is as she is moving to the ball.  She takes some solid shuffle steps and keep her weight evenly distributed on the balls of her feet to keep her quick on the court.  Miss Washington also showed a relentless pursuit of the ball when she had to chase down deflections or shanked passes from her teammates.  The way that she handled hard driven balls with ease told me that she understands how to cushion the ball with her platform.  This young lady is extremely athletic and plays the game with a lot of passion.  She was a true joy to have in the gym and I will definitely be watching to see how she progresses throughout her career.  Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.
