About Dani

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I take pride in seeing the court clearly and using my IQ to make smart decisions and help put my team in the best position to succeed. I stay calm under pressure and bring a steady presence to my team. Supporting my teammates is important to me. I want them all to feel confident, valued, and supported. I'm always open to learning and improving upon my skills, whether from a teammate or a coach.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Through my experience, I've found that staying calm, especially when things get stressful, is the best path to success. Pressure doesn't break me; in fact, it pushes me to be even better for my teammates. My mind is very clear and focused on what must be achieved. I lead through quiet confidence, letting my game play speak for itself, while supporting my teammates every play.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Playing volleyball has taught me that leadership doesn't have to come from the loudest person in the gym; it's more about trust, communication, and accountability. I've also learned how to work with teammates who have different skills, mindsets, and roles on a team. I've learned to adjust my play, communication, and attitude based on what my teammates find most beneficial.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college that offers a strong volleyball program where I can continue to grow as a player, both physically and mentally. Just as important to me is being in an academic driven environment, where I'm supported in reaching my full potential. I want to be surrounded by people who value mental health, understanding that success comes from nurturing all aspects of a person.

A primary factor for Avon Lake in 2025, Hubert took great advantage of her first season as a regular contributor for the Shoremen. She led the team defensively at 14.9 digs per match and will return to her AVC jersey for club where she’ll continue to hone her first-touch skills in one of the best Ohio clubs in this facet of the game. She plays with good awareness and balance in her preparation while using her quickness to react effectively and extend her range in pursuit of the ball.
