Hubert’s 21.6 d/m average is among the best in Ohio regardless of class. The Avon Lake star has earned double-digit digs in every match this season, with five of them delivery 20 or more digs. She has twice earned her season high fo 27 digs in a single match. The quality of her first-touch action is efficient in how she tracks and pursues the ball, whether in serve-receive or digging as her quickness helps her cover a lot of court. Hubert is also a force at the service line as she has 24 aces, including nine in a single match near the start of the season.

Dani Hubert makes the most difficult serve-receive rotations look routine. She kept making passes that were exactly on target against one of the better serving teams I saw this summer, giving her setter every opportunity. A primary factor for Avon Lake in 2025, Hubert took great advantage of her first season as a regular contributor for the Shoremen. She led the team defensively at 14.9 digs per match and will return to her AVC jersey for club where she’ll continue to hone her first-touch skills in one of the best Ohio clubs in this facet of the game. She plays with good awareness and balance in her preparation while using her quickness to react effectively and extend her range in pursuit of the ball.
