The senior from Pieper is well known to us at Prep Dig as we have followed her career since she was a freshman. With 795 assists on the year and averaging 8.8 assists per set, you can say that she is on her “A” game once again. She has blown her stats from her previous two years on varsity out of the water and the year is far from over. This young lady is a silky smooth setter who can really dish the rock. Routinely she will make defenders commit to her because of amazingly deceptive posture before she delivers the ball. By utilizing her jump set effectively, she will give her hitters one on one situations or at the very least some nice splits to attack. The five foot ten inch lefty is a college coach’s dream. If she has not been scooped up yet, I strongly suggest that all schools who need a talented setter give her a few looks and you will not be disappointed. She will give your team a much needed boost in leadership and security for your offense.

McAllisted steered her STVA 16 Mizuno team to a strong third-place finish with six wins and a loss, which also earned them a bid to the nationals. Splitting her time between setting and hitting duties, she was a force on the right and contributed to the team’s success in a variety of ways. A tall and technical setter, she ran the team’s offense efficiently, using all her hitters and displaying great chemistry with them. A lefty, McAllister also showed power and precision with her swings, proving to be an interesting offensive option for them. She also made an impact with her blocking and created problems for her opponents with her tough serves.

McAllister and her STVA 16 Mizuno team will be in action in the 16 Open division this weekend. She’s a key piece in their playing system with her ability to perform multiple roles and typically splits time between right side hitter and libero. Her versatility is strongly connected with her excellent all-around game, which allows her to pass, dig, set, swing and block at a very high level. A lefty, McAllister is a potent and efficient hitter, who uses her length very well and makes excellent choices with her shot selection.
