For Dru, Juneteenth represents opportunity, purpose, and the freedom to pursue her dreams.

She is grateful for the sacrifices of those who came before her and is determined to be a positive example for future generations. Dru’s biggest inspiration is Coach Rudy, whose leadership and dedication have helped shape her both on and off the court.

In volleyball, Dru hopes to compete at the collegiate level while continuing to grow as an athlete and leader. Beyond the court, she plans to pursue higher education, earn her real estate license, develop strong business skills, and create opportunities to give back to her family and community.

Versatility was one of Dru’s biggest strengths this season. While spending much of the year as a libero and defensive specialist, she willingly stepped into the setter role when her team needed her most. That adaptability speaks volumes about her team-first mindset and volleyball IQ. Dunlap also possesses a dangerous float serve and continues to show growth in multiple areas of her game. Dru Dunlap Dru Dunlap 5'2" | DS/L/S Northeast Technical Academy | 2028 State NV , a 15-year-old from Las Vegas, is a versatile volleyball player specializing in libero, defensive specialist, and setter positions. She plays for NecTr Volleyball Club, wearing jersey number 28 for the 16U team and number 3 for the 15U team. Dru is an outstanding libero to watch in the class of 2028. She covers the court exceptionally well, making great passes from difficult angles. Her high energy and love for the libero position are evident. During club season, she excelled as the team’s best passer and took charge of the back row during serve receive. Dru’s quick first step allows her to handle float serves that drop or move unpredictably with ease. She’s fearless on the court and has relentless hustle, bettering the ball each time she touches it. I expect Dunlap to continue dominating in the libero (or defensive specialist) position as she heads into her first year of high school.
