Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
Senior leaders often become a team’s most reliable servers. That was the case at Omaha Westside as Brislen keyed up her share of scoring runs from behind the line. The veteran outside hitter was incredibly disruptive with three aces in the quarterfinal match against Grand Island. Better yet, Brislen played gritty floor defense and made the Warriors more than comfortable during her serving rotation.

Brislen’s standout run of club events continues. We’re used to seeing this Omaha Westside athlete in a six-rotation capacity with Premier, and that isn’t going away anytime soon. Her vocal presence in the serve receive allows 17 Black’s serve receive to keep thriving, which bodes well for the team’s bid aspirations.

It’s worth adding the caveat that Brislen may spend some time at opposite during the 2023 season. Regardless, this Omaha Westside product has also shown the ball control skills and versatility to contribute on the left pin, too. That multi-position impact should be fun to follow as Brislen represents Premier 17 Black this spring.

Brislen has done whatever has been needed of her during her successful career at Omaha Westside. This year’s Warrior team allowed Brislen to show her skills on the right pin after she finished playing left-side hitter for much of the club season. Anything to win.
