About Ella

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a hardworking and competitive player who pushes myself and my teammates to be the best we can. I'm a strong team player who communicates well, gives full effort, and brings both skill and passion to the game. Volleyball is a sport I excel at, and I always strive to raise the level of play around me.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm a loud, energetic, and fun teammate who knows when it's time to lock in and compete. I'm mentally strong, don't let mistakes define me, and I stay coachable by learning from them and improving.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes! I've been a Sunday school teacher for preschool and kindergarten children for several years, which has helped me build leadership, patience, and communication skills.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through my work with Park and Recreation in Watertown, I've developed patience, leadership, and teamwork skills while supporting kids in sports and activities. I've learned the importance of encouragement, being supportive, and helping others grow both on and off the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One significant challenge I've faced is helping out on my family's farm when I get the chance after my grandpa passed away. My grandma is a widow, so I've stepped up to support her and take on some responsibilities at her house during the summer while balancing summer sports, work, family, and friends. It taught me how to manage my time, stay disciplined, and work hard even when life is tough.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college with strong academics and athletics, where I can grow as a volleyball player, challenge myself academically, and be a part of a supportive team!
