I could feel our team’s energy start to drop… we were getting quieter and a little tense. I made a conscious effort to stay positive and vocal, calling out encouragement after every play and reminding my teammates to stay aggressive and trust what we had been doing all weekend.
She doesn’t just describe energy, she connects it to action, communicating with hitters, identifying seams, and staying disciplined in serve receive and defensive positioning to keep her team in system.
Her growth this season shows in her defensive consistency.
My coaches have emphasized staying disciplined with my base positioning, reacting off the setter’s hands sooner, and keeping my platform strong… I’m getting more controlled digs that stay in system and making plays more consistently throughout full matches.
Off the court, that same discipline shows up academically and in her leadership.
I currently hold a 4.4 GPA… I also started the Nephrotic Syndrome Foundation club at my school and serve on multiple teen volunteering boards.
Her championship path continues with the Salt Lake City Qualifier and AAU Nationals, where her ability to steady the game will continue to matter.
