Grivna has natural athleticism and it shows on the court. Grivna is really tough on quicks because teams have a hard time rising up to block her and dig her up because she sends balls flying quickly to the floor. Grivna also pounds balls to the back court and mixes in soft shots to keep teams guessing. Grivna times up balls well at the net for big blocks and has a nice serve. Grivna recorded 308 kills, 25 solo, 81 assisted blocks and 50 aces helping Ballard go a school record 29-8 with a 28th District crown and an appearance in the region semifinals.

Grivna uses her size and athleticism well to control the net. She has great timing on quicks and short sets, sending them hard to the back parts of the court. Grivna also does a good job timing her blocks. Grivna is also a solid server for the Bruins. Grivna had 308 kills, 25 solo, 81 assisted blocks and 50 aces this past season leading the Bruins to a 29-8 record with a 28th District championship and spot in the region semifinals.

Grivna controlled the net as the Centurions had no answer for her quick hits in the middle. Her swing blocks have especially improved. She timed up balls for big stops throughout the game. Grivna is trying to be a complete all-around player. She served two aces to start a Ballard rally in the second game.

Grivna only grew playing with some of her teammates during club season with MAVA in addition to some other talented players in the area. She extends her arms well allowing her to control the net deflecting balls in the air for her teammates to pass if they do not go down on the other size. She’ll have other teammates with size this fall to help form solid double blocks. Grivna has a nice quick step before balls reach the setter’s hands giving her an advantage in the middle and on slides to the pins for powerful attacks. Grivna puts every part of her body into those attacks. She’ll throw in jam shots to confuse opponents and pounds down overpassed balls hard. Grivna had 197 kills, 41 solo blocks and 73 assisted blocks helping Ballard to a 26-10 record and spot in the 7th Region Tournament this past fall.
