Ella is the definition of a go-to hitter – she is reliable yet competitive and can make momentum-changing plays.

I saw Ella Nigl Ella Nigl 6'0" | OH/RS Neenah | 2026 State WI play for Neenah High School in the Appleton, Wisconsin area during the high school season and saw her again at the Prep Dig Wisconsin Top 250. She brings a really dynamic skillset to the court where she is a powerhouse on the right side who can play six rotations. Her arm swing is violent where she is sure to create problems for the other side of the net. FC Elite 17 Navy will be in the 17 USA Division where they have some sneaky good athletes who are looking to make a statement this season.

Ella is a player who caught my eye time and time again at the Expo. She consistently played at a high level and made herself an offensive option. I saw her primarily on the right side, where she took some massive rips and had some shots that were painted down the line. Her shot selection was fun to watch as she found holes in the defense on the other side of the net. She has a high vertical and lightning-fast arm swing. The speed of her game is impressive, and she really stepped up and impressed throughout the event.

So athletic and physical from the right side, Ella Nigl Ella Nigl 6'0" | OH/RS Neenah | 2026 State WI has a unique skills set that is a tough mismatch for the other side of the net. For as much volleyball as I watch, for a lot of athletes hitting on the right side looks forced and not exactly fluid. Not for Nigl, she is a natural on the right side where she is able to hit multiple tempos and has a very high contact point that allows her to dominate and score. I think she will have a big club season at FC Elite and there is a strong group of 2026s at Neenah who will be ready for a big senior season.

Ella is essential to the Neenah offense. She has a huge vertical and is so dynamic. She earned points from across the front row and has huge power. Ella never missed a beat on the court and could consistently earn points for Neenah.

Ella stood out to me because of her ability to manufacture points both in and out of system. She can terminate on any ball she is given, and she is always ready to handle the chaos of the sport. Ella is incredibly versatile and can play on both pins.
