About Ella
Expert Analysis
Mike Bryant | Prep Dig Scout
Young is leading the Clyde offense at 2.7 k/s, an impressive position to be in as a freshman first-time varsity athlete. At 5’9, she moves well and competes confidently at the net to swing with good control of her arm, including ability to place the ball into space in the opposing defense. On the defensive side, Young adds 9.9 d/m for a complete effort each time they take the court. She established a new career high of 16 kills in their first match of October, as she has been on a good stretch performing above her offensive season average multiple times and consecutively recently.
