About Ellasyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am: Very in control of my emotions on the court. Anticipating and ready for a drop or a miss as an off-blocker. Hustling for coverage as well as the save. An all around player and will perform where I am put. Encouraging of everyone and their efforts. Always wanting what is best for the team, even if it means I sit for a bit.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am: Continually determined to improve. Always willing to learn. Careful to show grace to others as well as myself. Never going to be done playing until the game is officially over. I love to laugh and joke around when I can.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Fusion Youth Group, Art Club, FBLA.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a leader when I need to be- on an off the court. I also know when I am not the leader and take direction. I love working as a team no matter what. I volunteered with our library summer reading program for a couple of years and then I started to help in my Mom's daycare and then started to work as a lifeguard at the pool and baby-sit. I also help coach youth volleyball in our town when I can.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My 2 older brothers are both military. That was very hard because we all get along really good. It was only me here then and it was a big adjustment. I am glad I had volleyball.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am not sure where yet. But I have to really like it and have a good connection with someone I feel like will really help me decide things. And it has to be safe.
