Rinne has to be on our stock-riser radar after Freeman’s championship last fall. The ongoing club season with Nebraska ONE 17 Black has only boosted Rinne’s momentum further. She can play multiple positions at the tape but has flourished as a middle blocker for 17 Black. We’re particularly impressed with Rinne’s quick transition footwork, allowing her to get ahead of opposing blockers and exploit open seams. Her range on the slide has opened up, too. 17 Black’s March gauntlet continues in Philadelphia.

Nebraska ONE is adding a decorated state champion to the fold this spring. Rinne joins a stacked Nebraska ONE 17 Black lineup after putting down three kills per set en route to Freeman’s Class C2 title. This physical opposite has found her stride as an upperclassman and did not shy away from the bright lights in Lincoln. Rather, Rinne put up some of her best numbers in the postseason, including a .300-plus hitting percentage in the state semifinals and finals. Her length as a blocker will also be an asset and bring Nebraska ONE ‘s 17s stable to another level. Rinne’s rankings debut is looming.

Bring another new state champion into the mix. Freeman High School boasted a balanced, dynamic offense this year, so we often have to look beyond the box score to find standout terminators. That might not affect Rinne much, as she still managed three kills per set this year for the eventual Class C2 champs. She had a brilliant double-double performance in the championship match against Laurel-Concord-Coleridge and was unflappable in the middle back area. Perhaps 2025 was just the start of a new Freeman dynasty.
