About Ellie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I run the offense as a setter, making strategic choices to involve all hitters, while also leading my team in aces and career assists.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a quiet leader who earns respect by keeping my teammates organized, encouraging everyone, and helping younger players grow. I’m also a student of the game who loves the play, which helps me lead with confidence and understanding.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m involved in Beta Club, FCA, Pep Club, and Educators Rising, and I also work with the 21st Century program at my school. I’ve been recognized for maintaining a 4.0 GPA and earning all A’s throughout my classes

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed leadership by running the offense as a setter and guiding my teammates, teamwork by keeping everyone involved and encouraged, and service through working with elementary students in after school and summer programs, volunteering at youth camps, and being active with the youth at my church. I enjoy giving back and helping younger kids grow both in the game and in life.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Playing for three different coaches taught me to adapt and learn multiple styles, making me a more versatile and resilient player.

What type of college are you looking for?

With both my parents being elementary teachers, I hope to follow in their footsteps by attending a small college with an education program, giving back to youth like they do. On the court, I want to continue growing as a setter and leader, using volleyball as a way to inspire and mentor younger players while pursuing my academic goals.
