Elyana Segura Elyana Segura 5'4" | S/RS Forney | 2030 TX , a 5’4 freshman setter from Forney High School, that does not let her size get in her way of being seen. Her footwork and transition throughout play is effortless and efficient. Quickly making adjustments to the play and trusting her ability to read the ball and deliver a hittable set. Her tempo is clean and effective with hitters that communicate with her, she does not hesitate to adapt to those around her in order to make the next ball better. Elyana is fierce when it comes to doing her job and has clearly earned the trust of teammates to carry it out. She hustles, communicates, and above all else, she delivers.

Segura will join Forney for the high school season and set for Rockwall Heat during the last club campaign. She’s very accurate with her locations and does a great job of using her entire body to push the ball to the pins in out-of-system plays. Segura also moves very quickly to the ball, which gets her in the best possible spot to make contact with it and widens her distribution options. She keeps the same body shape when setting to all three positions and makes it hard for opponents to read her and anticipate her moves. The setter also makes an impact on defense, showing agility to chase the ball and solid fundamentals to control it.
