About Emili

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’d describe my gameplay style as fast, focused. As a Libero/DS, I thrive in high-pressure situations and take pride in being the calm, reliable presence in the back row. I’m constantly reading the game, adjusting quickly, and making smart, aggressive plays especially in serve receive and digging tough balls.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a very driven and positive person, both on and off the court. I stay focused under pressure and never back down from a challenge—I see tough moments as opportunities to grow and lead. I bring a calm, composed energy in high-stress situations, but I’m also vocal and uplifting with my teammates. I take pride in being coachable, hardworking, and always willing to learn.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m a member of the National Charity League and have completed over 150 hours of community service. I’m a member of National Honor Society and Pre-Med Society. During the summer, I am in the St. Francis Volunteer program.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve grown as a leader by always communicating on the court and keeping my team motivated, especially in tough moments. Being part of NCL has also taught me the value of service, responsibility, and giving back to the community.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Playing up an age division has pushed me out of my comfort zone, but it’s helped me grow faster as a player. I’ve learned to stay confident, adjust quickly, and compete at a higher level—all while balancing a strong academic workload.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with a competitive volleyball program and strong academics—somewhere I can grow as a student-athlete and prepare for a career in pediatrics. I value a positive team culture, strong coaching, and a campus that feels like home.
