AVC 16 Red finished 3-0 on the first day in 16 Open with a solid team effort. Hay was a standout in the morning on both sides of the ball. The right side gets opportunities in a variety of locations through which she showed good use of her length to get up and swing high. She adjusts well to this variety and to out of system situations. Defensively, the block she set created issues for multiple hitters.

From the right pin, Hay can be an impact contributor on both sides of the ball. She averaged 1.5 k/s for Cuyahoga Valley Christian in 2025 following a good club cycle where she continued to develop her her transition footwork and timing. With more dynamic arm action she’ll get more lift and opportunity to swing for pace plus range. It is on the defensive side though where her 3.9 b/m this past fall will create some advantages for this AVC 16 Red team as she is long and rangy with her presence at the net in front of opposing hitters.

The 6’1 middle is coming off another productive season for CVCA as she upgraded her impact to 1.5 k/s on an improved .333 efficiency and 47% kill rate over her freshman season effort. Additionally, she nearly doubled her effort defensively as she was a big force at the net with a career best 3.9 blocks per match. As she has improved her action at the net, look for her to make even bigger gains with her AVC team in her transition movement and offensive abilities overall.
