[program_tooltip program_id='430764' first='AVC' last='CLE'] was so good this weekend at the OVR Bid event, claiming both titles in the the 16 National and 17 National divisions. Not only were both teams unbeaten, but they both ran the weekend without dropping a single set. Both of these teams are loaded with talent from the greater Cleveland area among the 2027 & 2028 classes, which brings skill and depth at all positions. As many of these athletes are worthy of mention, here's a look at a few key prospects from each team.

[program_tooltip program_id='430764' first='AVC' last='CLE'] 16 Red

[player_tooltip player_id='832169' first='Frankie' last='Brkic'] - OH
Brkic is the second part of a left pin hitting duo that can be lethal. She can elevate and terminate with good authority to all locations on the court. She had some impressive highlights with her arm and what she contributed from the back row with her passing and defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='766043' first='Emily' last='Hay'] & [player_tooltip player_id='749315' first='Taylor' last='Simmons']- RS
Hay and Simmons both can help balance this team's offense at the right pin. Hay brings more size and length while Simmons can jump to create a high touch point. They both took good swings for terminal outcomes, with Simmons also showing pace to overpower the defense from the left side.

[player_tooltip player_id='563105' first='Kaylie' last='Liepins'] - S
One of the top setters in the 2028 Ohio class, Liepins runs this team's offense for three rotations with good precision and connection with her attackers. As good as she was in distributing on point when in system, she was equally as good locating the ball in a very hittable zone when on the move, including good platform skills and the ability to chuck the ball across the court with her hands and added force to get it there.

[program_tooltip program_id='430764' first='AVC' last='CLE'] 17 Red

[player_tooltip player_id='501007' first='Avary' last='Brown'] - S
So good at distributing the full range of offense for this team, Brown's consistency of contact in the air is a big asset as she looks the same with each choice she delivers, making her a tough read. The Butler commit has great tools and her effort helps lift the play of the corps of attackers she has around her when she gets her opportunities to run the show.

[player_tooltip player_id='807846' first='Anne' last='Culkar'] - OH
Culkar had moments where she looked unstoppable at the pins, especially when in rhythm and with space created by their tempo and balance of offense across the net that needs equal respect. On Sunday, from both pins, she created big lift that led to even bigger pace for some emphatic terminal results. She is committed to Appalachian State.

[player_tooltip player_id='828280' first='Kyla' last='Williams'] - MB
When Williams is on the court, the level of play elevates exponentially given the elite talent she has, but also due to the confidence that comes to the floor with her and resonates through her teammates. The Pitt commit is a top-ranked athlete nationally with huge elevation and the ability to play well above the net on both sides of the ball. Her anchor at the center of their triple block effort is imposing and impressive.

[player_tooltip player_id='569698' first='Milani' last='Marrero'] - DS/L
Steady, steady, steady is the ball control of Marrero (*pictured). She had streaks of efficient passing versus [program_tooltip program_id='431555' first='Mintonette' last=''] in the finals that helped get their big offense into system over and over. Her composure and tools have been so fun to watch become even more efficient and effective over the past couple of years. She is committed to Cleveland State.
