Lorenzen played terrific defense for Excel NW. She has fast hands and reactions, keeps herself in a ready position, and is never surprised when a hard shot or ricochet comes at her. The libero from Skyview in Vancouver, WA, played with confidence and outstanding technique for Excel NW in Las Vegas. Number nine in the blue Libero jersey definitely has some setter training in her background. Lorenzen handles serves and swings smoothly with her hands and is very comfortable stepping in to set a second ball with her hands to either pin. She was quick to cover pushes and throws to the corners, showing fast feet and a solid ability to read the hitter.
