Skilled volleyball players from all over the US travelled to Hillsboro, OR this past Saturday to show coaches and scouts what they are made of. Here are the DS and liberos from the class of 2026 to 2029 who showed up and played hard:
Lewis is a quick DS/libero that always remains low and open to the ball. She follows plays with her eyes and adjusts her body accordingly, reading the ball and defending the court.
Huspek has a great turn and run on balls that are impossible to reach and in deep corners of the court. She talks loud and to her teammates, hustles for plays and creates a good angle to her setters.
Walsh is a fast passer, communicating to her other teammates, leaving her arms open and receptive to the ball. She moves with ease and attempts to pick up everything.
Habash has fast and ready feet on defense, opening her body to the ball and absorbing its impact. She stays low to the ground and can move fast to anywhere on the court.
Malia is a versatile passer, making moves from every side to save the ball. She can set her pins from the backrow with her hands to keep her offense in system.
Valeri is a scrappy passer, always getting a hand on the ball. She picks up everything and is incredibly fast on defense, reading the ball and making positive moves.
Lorenzen is a dynamic passer that stays low to the ground and moves quickly. She has good communication with everyone on the court and is incredibly scrappy in scramble plays.
Evaluations are normally subscriber-only but when an athlete subscribes, theirs becomes free for all readers.
Subscribing doesn't change who the Scout covers, it changes who gets to see it.
Veenker has a great attitude on and off the court, putting in all the effort that she can give towards every ball. She betters every play and works hard to never let the play die.
Taddeo has good and positive moves to the ball, remaining low and moving fast. Her arms and shoulders are open to the ball, reading hits, tips, and tricks well.
